Norwegian Elkhounds are a fairly healthy breed and most breeders, including ourselves, do their utmost to ensure that the puppies they breed are as free from hereditary defects and diseases as it is humanly possible to do so. We aim to breed puppies that are of a good type that fit to the standard for the breed, for excellent temperament and soundness thereby ensuring that they are fit for function.
